Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. She is widely known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories as well as the role of children victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive She has also received a number of grants and has been the recipient of many honors international and national levels. She has offered advice on policy and research to many agencies and departments across the world. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as the president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society, and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
